01 · Your inputs

Steady rotation with positive magnitudes only. This is mechanical shaft power, not electrical input power or a motor starting-torque calculation.

Gear output (optional)

3 means the output rotates at one third of the input speed.

Greater than 0%, at most 100%.

Decimal point or comma and scientific notation accepted. No thousands separators. Results update as you type.

Understand the calculation

Formula & assumptions
ω (rad/s) = 2π n / 60
P (kW) = T (N·m) × ω / 1000
Gear output n = input n / ratio
η = entered efficiency (%) / 100
Gear output T = input T × ratio × η
Gear output P = input P × η

The ratio convention is always input speed divided by output speed. A ratio greater than one reduces speed; efficiency reduces delivered mechanical power. The calculated quantity is hidden from the inputs to avoid conflicting controls.

    Sources & limitations

    Motoring direction only. Regeneration, acceleration, service factors, peak loads, inertia and gearbox ratings are outside this simple relation. Values are not a safe motor or gearbox selection.
