RESEARCH, TESTING & ENGINEERING

Tools shaped around
the work you do.

Turn measurements, dimensions and operating inputs into figures, review drawings and calculations. Explore a starting point for your field, then discuss the parts that need a specific fit.

01 / UNIVERSITY & RESEARCH GROUPS

Make the route from
table to figure repeatable.

Academic collaboration options →

The task: compare measured series while keeping units, panel assignments and the meaning of error bars consistent across revisions.

Start with: Graph Studio for CSV/Excel plotting and supplied symmetric error bars. Use Replicate Statistics separately to summarize one group of measurements.

Example output: an editable SVG figure and a saved browser project, accompanied by the sample size and a clear SD or SEM definition. Explore the synthetic-data figure example.

A scoped custom offer: an agreed input table, repeatable figure layout, reference outputs and a short operating guide. Statistical interpretation and experimental design remain explicit review steps.

02 / MATERIALS, POLYMERS, COMPOSITES & ADHESION

Keep the specimen context
beside the result.

Material and bond measurements can differ by specimen, conditioning and test setup. A useful comparison starts with quantities and units that mean the same thing.

01

Use the available toolsReplicate Statistics reports n, mean, sample SD and SEM for a reviewed group; Graph Studio plots supplied series for comparison.

02

Produce a reviewable comparisonKeep a descriptive summary and an exported figure with quantity, unit, group definition and the chosen error-bar meaning. See a synthetic figure workflow.

03

Scope a custom preparation toolDefine specimen metadata, input-column mapping, unit checks and a report format. Agree reference cases and exclusions before implementing a material-specific workflow.

Descriptive summaries do not establish independence, material allowables, bond qualification or test-standard compliance. The public tools do not infer a constitutive model.

03 / MECHANICAL DESIGN & MANUFACTURING

Move from dimensions
to a focused design review.

The task: communicate a simple part and its preliminary calculations without losing the geometry, units or model assumptions between tools.

03

Adapt a bounded part family.

A custom scope can define a geometry input template, selected calculation checks and a consistent review-note format with reference examples. Agree the supported dimensions and cases before development.

CUSTOM SCOPE

The drawing tool supports review of a single part. It does not provide full CAD, GD&T, assembly analysis or manufacturing approval. Preliminary calculations require independent engineering review.

04 / TEST & MEASUREMENT LABORATORIES

Make calculations
easier to inspect.

Explore the load-cycle example →

The task: turn load extrema or repeated measurements into an interpretable calculation note, with the source values and any excluded records visible.

Start with: Fatigue Workbench for load-cycle quantities, Unit Converter for explicit unit changes and Replicate Statistics for one measurement group.

Example output: a load-cycle note listing maximum, minimum, mean, amplitude and range, or a descriptive summary with sample size and reviewed exclusions. Keep supported reviewed results together in a downloaded local work package.

A scoped custom offer: a parser for an agreed instrument-export format, visible unit and validity checks, and a calculation-note template tested against agreed reference files.

These tools do not calibrate equipment, certify a test method or replace a laboratory quality system. Fatigue models require suitable material and geometry inputs; they do not guarantee service life.

05 / INDUSTRIAL & ENERGY EQUIPMENT

Keep operating assumptions
visible in early checks.

The task: compare a specified power, speed or temperature change with a preliminary mechanical calculation and preserve the assumptions for review.

01

Start with a bounded calculationPower, Torque & Speed relates rotational quantities. Thermal Expansion estimates free expansion for supplied dimensions, temperature change and coefficient.

02

Keep a calculation noteRecord the operating inputs, units, selected material coefficient and model limits alongside the result. Add supported results to a local work package for review.

03

Define a reusable worksheetA custom scope can combine agreed operating cases, unit checks and a report layout with independently checked reference cases and an operating guide.

These preliminary tools do not model a complete equipment system, constrained thermal stress, transient behavior or equipment certification. Applicability must be checked for the actual operating conditions.
